Itinerary
Day 1 :
Nairobi – Maasai Mara
Depart from Nairobi in the morning and travel to the Maasai Mara. The tour drives along the floor of the Great Rift Valley past Mt. Longonot, an extinct Volcano and into Maasai country arriving at the Maasai Mara Game Reserve in time for lunch. Check-in and have lunch. Afternoon at leisure until 3.30 pm when you go for a game drive. Meals and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 :
Maasai Mara
Spend the day at the reserve, the enormity of the Mara and the abundance of exotic wildlife offer endless opportunities for excitement. Two game drives are provided, one in the morning and the other one in the afternoon. There is an option for a visit the Masai village, or take an early morning balloon ride. Meals and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 :
Mara – Sweetwaters
Early morning game drive, after breakfast drive to Sweetwaters arriving in the afternoon. Explore exotic Sweetwaters Sanctuary on two extensive game runs. Our camp also overlooks one of the busiest waterholes’ in the area and offers elephant, giraffe and myriad plains game. The Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary is incorporated within the Ol Pejeta Conservancy and is the only place in Kenya where this highly endangered and remarkably intelligent species can be seen. This is Africa as Teddy Roosevelt saw it years ago when he led one of the first safaris to tour Africa in comfort and splendor. Our tents at the camp will remind us of this bygone era. Overnight at Sweetwaters camp.
Day 4 :
Sweetwaters – Samburu
Arrive at Samburu in time for lunch later go for an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.
Day 5 :
Samburu
Two game drives are provided, one in the morning and the other one in the afternoon. Spend the day at Leisure besides the swimming pool of the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Lodge.
Day 6 :
Samburu – Nairobi
Early morning game drive, after breakfast drive back to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon.
